Chiricahua Apache Alliance – Membership Information

The Chiricahua Apache Alliance is an association of individuals and groups that have come together to rebuild and strengthen relations among Chiricahua Apache people, wherever they are, and to pursue goals and objectives common to our people. One of the main objectives of the Chiricahua Apache Alliance is to preserve the culture and history of our people, as it is a culture and history that have been misunderstood and misrepresented throughout time. The Alliance seeks to identify those who are Chiricahua by ancestry and who consider themselves to be Chiricahua. By identifying the living descendents of the Chiricahua Apache and recovering the history of their families, we will be able to recover the larger collective history of our people. If you are Chiricahua Apache, the Alliance invites to join its membership by supplying your name, contact information and an explanation of how you come to identify yourself as Chiricahua.

Affiliation with the Alliance is in no way intended to compete with or displace membership in a recognized tribe or reservation community, and this information is being collected irrespective of any such membership. The idea is to form a collective that provides for a full account of the Chiricahua people, regardless of geographic location or specific tribal affiliation.
